About

Who We Are

The Excel Center® Kansas City is an accredited, tuition-free high school operated by Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas.

The Excel Center offers you an actual diploma, not a GED or other equivalent as well as earning college credit or other industry certifications while you are getting your diploma.

The Excel Center is open year-round and operates with five terms per year each lasting 8 – 9 weeks. Our caring life coaches provide personal attention to each student and will work together with you to find solutions for whatever challenges you may have along the way!

Our registrar will help you to access your high school transcripts so that you will only need to take classes that you need to earn your high school diploma. We offer classes in language arts, math, science and social studies which are taught by certified and caring teachers who will help you achieve your goals. The Excel Center also provides support to students with tutoring to improve reading and math skills.

Classes will take place at our launch site in collaboration with Metropolitan Community college at 3444 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO before moving to a permanent location in the future.

Our Mission

Our mission is the same throughout the MoKan Goodwill organization: Goodwill empowers people to discover their potential and adapt for the future through the power of work.

Our Vision

The Goodwill Excel Center Kansas City is dedicated to transforming lives by removing barriers, expanding access to education, and creating opportunities which empower individuals to realize their fullest potential.
