Barrier Busters Facilitator
Create content for and lead one or more workshops that will help Excel Center students develop skills essential for their education and career journeys. Topic areas include:
- Financial Literacy
- Mock Interviews
- Resume Writing
- Understanding Credit
- Conflict Resolution in the Workplace
- Growth Mindset: Learning from Mistakes and Feedback
- Digital Literacy
- Career Pathways
- Tutoring/Study Strategies
- Workplace Readiness Skills
Graduations
Support graduation ceremonies by setting up, directing attendees, providing logistics support, and cleaning up afterward.
Job-Focused Informational Interviews & Panels
Speak about your current job, career path, employer and/or industry alone or in a schedule panel to help Excel Center students learn more about potential career paths and how to pursue them.
Student Resource Fair
Support periodic events designed to connect Excel Center students to resources like wraparound services providers, colleges, and/or employers. Volunteers will help set up, check in and direct attendees, and tear down at events.
