Angel’s journey has been one of resilience and determination. After struggling with homelessness for five years, she found shelter at Sheffield Place, a transitional living program for mothers and their children. It was there that she connected with Goodwill through our Mobile Workforce Unit. Angel took computer and job search courses, which helped her regain confidence after being out of the workforce for so long. With the support of Goodwill’s resources and training, including an OSHA-10 certification, she was able to quickly land a job and start rebuilding her life. Today, Angel is thriving. She recently got a car and new a home, and is proud of the progress she’s made. Her sons, especially her oldest, have noticed the positive changes, and their pride in her fuels her motivation. Through Goodwill’s support and her own determination, Angel has transformed her life and is excited for what’s ahead.
