Tasha’s Story

Tasha standing in front of Goodwill location

Tasha has always struggled with shyness, often hearing she was a “smart kid” but not truly believing it herself. She began working in hospitality at 16, holding various roles such as cashier, bartender, and barista throughout her life. However, during a period of unemployment, Tasha decided to take a bold step and joined Goodwill’s Bridge to Technology (B2T) program. Overcoming her anxiety, Tasha embraced the program, discovering a deep interest in web development. With Goodwill’s support in resume building and interview preparation, she landed a receptionist job at H&H Color Lab. Tasha now plans to transition to the company’s IT department once she completes her certifications, which include web development, cybersecurity, and more. Currently enrolled in Resiliency at Work 2.0, Tasha aims to finish by the end of the year, continuing to build on the foundation she’s laid with Goodwill’s help. Her journey has empowered her to not only believe in her potential but also inspires others to take the leap toward growth and new opportunities.
